Well since I have been laid off, my DVD player is running on overdrive. So here is the I lost my job edition of Woody's Movie Review.
I watched "Inside Man" starring Clive Owen as a bank robber and Denzel Washington as a detective trying to negotiate with him. This is the second time I have seen this film and it was much better this time I give it a strong 4 penguins. The first time I saw it was in the theater. I had been up since about 5 am and the movie didn't start till after 9 pm so I may have nodded off a few times.
Next is "Body of Lies" with Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe. DiCaprio is overseas trying to get info and track down bad guys while Crowe is in the states running things. It was OK but not great and the ending just kind of ended. 3 penguins.
I saw "Flash of Genius" starring Greg Kinnear as the man who invented the intermittent windshield washer. It was a drama but for me it was boring. One thing this movie did do is confirm my utter hatred for the Ford Motor Company. 2 penguins, barely.
I saw "My Super Ex-Girlfriend" with Uma Thurman and Luke Wilson. It is supposed to be a comedy but I wasn't laughing. 2 penguins.
And now the grand finale, "Burn After Reading" staring Brad Pitt and John Malkovich among others. I don't know what was worse the plot or the acting. This movie shows you can get a bunch of "high caliber talent" and still make a bad movie. This movie could be renamed "Burn Before Watching" or "Dumb and Dumber Work for the CIA". 1 penguin. I must admit there are probably people who will like this movie. Especially if you enjoy a farce about affairs and morons.

Burn after reading - yeah- sorry I didn't warn you about that one too - just ridiculous. Have you seen Righteous Kill? If not its a must watch, you will enjoy it.
