This review addresses the lack of exposure for nature's finest animal the Penguin.
I recently watched "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa" and it gets a 3 penguin rating (I thought the first one was better). It features the voices of Ben Stiller and Chris Rock among others. But a small (too small in my opinion) part of the movie was the role that the penguins played. I mean really they built the first plane and when that one crashed the built another one. Penguins, flightless birds, building 2 aircraft that's awesome.
Anyway over the years the penguin has not gotten as much media attention as I would like, so check out these birds who broke through and "made it".
The penguins of "March of the Penguins". There are too many to name, but I think one was named Edgar.
How about the guys from "Surf's Up" Cody, Big Z and the rest.
I didn't see "Happy Feet" but there are a lot of penguins in that one.
Who could forget Chilly Willy who worked for the Walter Lantz Studio in about 50 cartoons.
One of my all time favorites is Tennessee Tuxedo always on the trail of a good scheme with his walrus pal Chumley.
There is a Bugs Bunny cartoon where he gets lost and ends up helping a little penguin evade a hungry Eskimo. I don't remember his name though.
So for the few who made it congrats, and to those trying to get in keep going your day will come. And what about a feature length movie with those fun loving penguins from the "Madagascar" movies. If they can hijack a boat they could do anything.
