Team Names

Throughout history there have been many teams and therefore many team names. I believe the first sports contest was held back in 700 B.C. and it pitted the Knuckle-Draggers against their bitter rivals the Eat-You-In-One-Biters. Though they put up a valiant effort the KDs were massacred (literally). Since then many groups of people have gotten together with similar goals and sometimes snazzy matching uniforms and formed teams. Usually someone would say "Hey you guys, nice outfits and good goal organization. But what do you call yourselves." This would often spark heated debate that would last days or even seconds. Sometimes they would use local animal life as inspiration like the Nittany Lions of Penn State or the Florida Panthers. Sometimes entire people groups like the Minnesota Vikings. And sometimes politics even gets involved like the F&M Diplomats. There have also been names that no one is sure about. Seriously the LA Kings; Kings of what losing? Or the Tulsa Golden Hurricane c'mon a hurricane in Oklahoma? Or how about the Indiana Hoosier; what in the world is a Hoosier? Well our new trivia team name does not fit with those last three. It has purpose, it has meaning and it is just fun to say. We are GAWKY DOMINO! Now dear reader if you have made it this far I issue this challenge what does Gawky Domino mean? Why is that the team name for Ang, Kim and I? First correct answer gets a prize. Team members are ineligible. So try your best, I double dog dare you!
